What’s next for Visible
September 17, 2026

Visible is becoming more personalized and simpler to use.

We’re sharing a look at what’s coming over the next few months, as well as things we’re taking a little more time to get right.

More personalized PacePoint budgets

Your PacePoint budget is becoming more adaptive, both to how you’re doing today and how your health changes over time.

1. A budget that reflects your day

Your capacity can vary from day to day. We’re developing a way for your Stability Score to suggest daily adjustments to your PacePoint budget, so you have guidance that better reflects how you’re doing that day.

2. Keeping your budget up to date

We’re also making it simpler to adjust your PacePoint budget as your capacity changes over time.

Soon, Visible will use your recent data to spot when your budget may need adjusting. It will check in with you to help you find a budget that better reflects where you are now.

Less to do, more from your data

We want Visible to give you useful guidance and insights while asking as little of you as possible.

Your Stability Score will soon be calculated using data collected while you sleep, so you won’t need to remember to do the one-minute morning measurement.

Using up to 4 hours of overnight data also gives us a more complete picture of how your body is doing, helping us calculate a more accurate score.

If you’d rather not wear your band overnight, you can still choose to use the morning measurement in your pacing settings.

Live heart rate when you need it

There are times when keeping a closer eye on your live heart rate can be especially useful.

A new Activity Monitor gives you a large view of your heart rate that’s easy to read at a glance, even from across the room.

The first version is available now in the Early Access Hub. We’re refining it based on member feedback before rolling it out more widely.

See what’s shaping your score

Your Stability Score brings together four signals: overnight heart rate, heart rate variability, sleep, and recent symptom trends. We calculate your score by comparing each signal with your own baseline.

We’re rolling out a new Stability Score view that shows how each signal has changed over the past week and which ones are having the biggest influence on your score that day.

More ways to take part in research

Accelerating research into complex chronic conditions is at the heart of Visible. Many of you already take part in research by choosing to share your data in the app.

We’re working on two updates that will make it easier to find and take part in studies.

1. Research opportunities through Visible.

At the moment, the Research tab shows studies you can join simply by sharing your anonymised Visible data. Soon, the list will also include opportunities to join research studies in person. These studies take place in hospitals and clinics around the country.

2. Find trials beyond Visible.

We’re also bringing back the clinical trials finder. This helps you search for trials related to your condition. We paused it earlier this year and we’ve improved it based on your feedback.

Together, these updates will make it easier to find opportunities to contribute to research, and help us make progress on our mission of making invisible illness visible.

Where we’re taking more time

Some parts of Visible need a little more time. We wanted to provide an update on where things stand.

1. Sleep

We know sleep tracking is something many of you are waiting for, and its taking longer than we originally expected. We wanted to share an update on how we are progressing.

Sleep has a huge impact on how you feel when you’re living with chronic illness, but most wearables don’t take into account the difficulties of sleep disruption that can comes with these conditions. This can be very different from the experiences of people with more regular sleep patterns. We want sleep tracking in Visible to be genuinely accurate and useful for people living with these conditions. This means we need to take a different approach, and is why weed more time to get it right.

More than 16,000 members have already helped us test early versions, giving us a much clearer picture of how to approach this.

We'll share more as soon as we have a clearer sense of the rollout timeline.

2. International availability

We’ve previously shared plans to explore making Visible available beyond the US and UK.

For now, we’ve decided to focus on making Visible the best it can be for people in the US and UK. We’re still a small team, and expanding into a new country means making sure the band, the app, shipping and member support all works smoothly.

International expansion is still part of where we're headed, it’s just not our focus in the near term. When that changes we'll let you know.

Looking ahead

There’s a lot coming to Visible over the next few months, and even more we want to build in 2027 and beyond.

Thank you for being part of Visible and our mission to make invisible illness visible.
